Core Principles
At Hawks Running, your coaching is guided by the same principles that has led to Hayden’s success in the sport. It’s the principles at the heart of “Dream big. Run fast. Run free.” Those principles include:
-Individual plans. Each athlete is different. Every athlete has different strengths and weaknesses, running goals, life circumstances, etc. We custom make your plan for you. We do not use boiler plate plans.
-Improvement is a process. It takes time to adapt to the demands of ultrarunning. Whether you are new to the sport or have been doing it for some time and want to push passed a plateau, it takes time to adapt. Improvement is the result of weeks, months, and even years of consistent good training.
-A balanced runner is a happy runner. There is life outside of running. You have family, a job, and other responsibilities outside of the sport. Dedicate the time you can to training, but do NOT neglect the most important things. Balance your training with your everyday life.
